Real Beauty: 5 Minutes With Performer Casey Burgess

We remember her from Hi-5 a couple of years ago but since, Casey Burgess has been singing, acting and performing independantly and is a regular on the social scene with friends like Laura Csortan and Nikki Phillips. Her hair has been cut short and she sports a beautiful balayage now, while regularly rocking a red lip. Here, she talks beauty with us. Hair, makeup, and where she goes to get pampered. . . 

What are your top five, must-have beauty products?

“Moisturiser by either Cactus Skincare or Dermalogica, Chapstick lip balm, Mac Cosmetics Concealer, mascara by ModelCo or Mac Cosmetics and bronzer by OFRA Cosmetics.”

Where do you go to get pampered?

“I love a massage once in a while and lately I tried a facial at Leah's Waxworks in Bondi Junction and it was divine! It left my skin feeling amazing. They do a fantastic manicure too.”

What does a typical day for you involve?

“I don't have a typical day, which makes routine extremely hard, but generally my day starts with an hour of exercise (Pilates at my mums studio, Balmain Bodies or cross training in the park) then breakfast and meetings, blogging, auditions and then a performance at night or learning lines for something I have the next day. I try to get 8 hours of sleep but it never happens!”

“I have just discovered Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun ($186) it’s AMAZING. I also love Hypnotic Poison by Dior.”

“Tinted moisturiser or BB cream. It’s light and easy and cheap as chips.”

What is you’re secret to fabulous hair?

“I have a fabulous hairdresser, Dario Salon in Darlinghurst and they look at face shape and skin tones and work your hairstyle and colour accordingly which is genius. I love what they have done to my hair and they do a killer blow-dry too!”

What is your biggest beauty secret?

“I love a good natural spray tan. It covers up imperfections and gives the skin an even tone. It means you don't have to wear makeup and you look summery all year round, without damaging your skin in the sun. It’s a win-win really!”
